About the imprint

A small press
with a clear center.

Sedo Press publishes books that center women as empowered forces - in fiction and nonfiction alike. The titles vary in tone and genre, but they share an emphasis on personal perspective, choice, and self-understanding.

We are an independent imprint based in Saco, Maine. Each book is chosen when it fits the direction of the press - never to fill a quota or meet a release calendar. The result is a catalog that stays intentionally small and deliberately voiced.

What we publish

Three directions, one focus.

We offer three main categories of published work. The catalog is in progress - new titles are added as they find their place.

Practical and experiential works addressing lived experiences and the long work of overcoming challenges.

Stories centered on women as capable protagonists who navigate challenges through perception, judgment, and personal agency.

An expansion of the choose-your-own-path form - greater narrative complexity and mature themes, written for adult readers.

Editorial approach

We release books
one at a time.

Sedo Press selects stories with a distinct voice and women who actively influence their direction in the narrative.

    The catalog stays intentionally small - each book added when it fits the direction of the imprint, not to meet a schedule.

    Stories may be lighthearted, reflective, or suspenseful, but stay focused on character experience rather than shock or spectacle.
